Honey The Family Dog Sings To MJ!

Honey the family pet loves long car rides with her owner, especially when Michael Jackson’s hit song “Will You Be There” (from the movie Free Willy) comes on the radio. From the first piano notes, Honey is beside herself with emotion and starts belting out along with the King of Pop!

Just like Jackson’s lyrics, “Hold me like the River Jordan, and I will then say to thee, ‘you are my friend,’” couldn’t be more appropriate as dogs love to be held and are also man’s best friend.

The adorable video was posted by I Love My Dog, a Facebook group made up of dog lovers who share precious, uplifting, and funny moments with their pets. Honey, a beautiful black-and-white mix, lifts her head up to the ceiling, howling and praising the music legend. She hits some high notes in the intro of the song as if she’s singing along with Jackson’s church choir.

Some dogs love MJ and others love the news… “My dog sings to the nightly news with Lester Holt song! Every night. We all join him!” added Facebook user Lori John Edwards, who liked the video of Honey singing in the car.

Jackson was a pop culture icon and phenomenon whose music continues to influence and inspire canines and humans alike, such as the little boy whose mommy catches him dancing to “Thriller,” and the female a cappella group from South Korea whose version of “Beat It” went viral.

Please SHARE this adorable story with dog lovers, die-hard fans of The King of Pop, and fans of the 1993 hit movie Free Willy! (You know you’re out there!)

Have you ever wondered which are the world’s most famous animals? Some animals are cute, some are scary, some are endangered species and others are just ordinary. But there’s nothing ordinary about the animals on this list. Whether they are famous for their owners, their achievements, some controversy or a special trait, there’s no denying that they all are one-of-a-kind specimens.

However, their fame doesn’t necessarily mean that they are economically valuable. If you want to find out which are the Most Expensive Animals in the World just check out our list.

Are you curious about the world’s most famous animals? Let’s take a look at this animalistic celebrity countdown.

10. Knut

"Geschafft!"

Knut was a polar bear that rose to fame back in 2006 when he was born in captivity at the Berlin Zoological Garden. Knut was rejected by his mother and hence raised by zookeepers, which brought along a lot of international controversy and attention. Finally, in 2011, Knut died at the age of four, but not before becoming a commercial success and a Berlin attraction.

9. Tinkerbell Hilton

Bo Obama could be introduced as the First Dog of the United States, since he is owned by the First Family of the United States, the Obamas. Bo is a Portuguese Water Dog who was joined in 2013 by a female pup of the same breed, named Sunny. Bo was chosen partly because Malia Obama’s allergies required a hypoallergenic breed.

6. Bubbles

Bubbles is a chimpanzee best known because he once was Michael Jackson’s pet. Jackson and Bubbles were inseparable; the chimp travelled with the singer, slept right next to him and even learned how to moonwalk. Finally, as Bubbles grew older he became more aggressive and had to be relocated to an animal sanctuary where he still lives today.

Date: Saturday, August 2, 2:00 PM Eastern Time

We have spoken about people who could communicate with animals. Michael was such a one. He was more than an dog whisperer, Michael was an animal whisperer.

“…I enjoy nature too much…. I know the tree feels it when the wind blows through it. It probably goes, “Ohhhh, this is wonderful.” And that´s how I feel when I´m singing some songs. It´s wonderful.”

“Plus, I’m crazy for birds and animals and puppies. And I love exotic things. I’ve had llamas, peacocks, a rhea, which is the second largest bird in the world, a macaw, which is the largest parrot from South America, pheasants, racoons, chickens….everything. Now, I’m gonna get a faun. And a flamingo…. I want a chimpanzee – they’re so sweet. Oh, I have such a good time with the animals. I have a wonderful relationship with animals, they really understand me…. I’d like to get into the whole veterinarian thing and learn the behaviour of animals. Dogs may see in black and white. Dogs might even see the wind. And what about the king cobra – what makes him come up when they play that pipe?”

Michael Jackson, Melody Maker music newspaper, 1980
