Japanese professional wrestler and former mixed martial artist Shinsuke Nakamura is known as the “Strong King of Style.”
Nakamura is well known in Japan as one of the top stars of the area for over a decade. His legend grew and helped him become a very popular name around the world.
In 2015, Nakamura was inducted into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame. He is currently signed to Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
He appeared on Talk is Jericho for a interview. He said that Michael Jackson is the inspiration for his character:
“If I watch Michael Jackson, I felt, ‘oh, he’s a real master of martial [arts] because of his standing is very straight. Then, no muscles because dancers have muscles, but his moving is quick. His dancing is the best, [better] than other dancers. Michael Jackson gave me a lot of hints, a lot of inspiration…A lot of martial artists – Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan. They are my idols. Also, Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger, so yeah. My idols.”
Here he talks more about Michael.
