Director-actor duo Sabbir Khan and Tiger Shroff are reuniting with an action-musical, Munna Michael. Revolving around Munna, a boy from the streets of Teen Batti, where Tiger’s father, Jackie Shroff grew up.
The lead character, Munna, idolizes Michael Jackson, which is also true of Tiger. Tiger has appeared in several movies and dance tributes to the King of Pop. The film will have lots of dance sequences.
Leading choreographers from Los Angeles and London will be flown down for the film. “The film will have my usual andaaz – powerpacked action sequences. It’ll be a mass entertainer,” smiles Sabbir, who recently returned from a two-week vacation in Kashmir, Spain and France.
Produced by Viki Rajani of NextGen Films, the musical will roll in September.
Viki says that, “Tiger is phenomenal in his action as well as dance and his role in Munna Michael is tailor-made to showcase his winning moves.” Sabbir and Tiger have proven their hit pairing and audiences can once again look forward to magic.
The 26-year-old Tiger is keen to do this film. He narrated the story a year ago while filming Baaghi. Sabbir narrated the final script to him after he returned from Madrid and he loved it,” exults Sabbir.
The leading lady for the part is rumored to be Disha Patani, Tiger’s girlfriend, but no official announcement has been made as of yet.
