Please Support The Petition To Honor Michael Jackson As An American Cultural And Philanthropic Icon

Laura Messina has started a petition to get the US Congress to pass a resolution to honor Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson is a legend in the field of entertainment. He is honored and revered all over the world, not only for his talents, but for his humanitarianism and philanthropy.

Shamefully, this is not the case in his own country. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee recommended a resolution after Michael’s death in 2009, but it was shot down.  Since that time, many of his colleagues in the entertainment field have been recognized, not only by Congress, but by the President himself.

Though many have signed and shared this pledge, there are still thousands of signature’s needed. As of this posting, only 6,417 supporters have signed, but 10,000 signatures have not been pledged. This is our chance to help right a terrible wrong that has been done to Michael Jackson.

Please take a few moments to read and sign the petition to show your support. Share with as many people as you can to get the word out.

Thanks!

  1. I signed the first day but I agree with Sue. I think it will be a long time before Michael is freed of all the maliciousness that scarred his life. Still we must do it for him.

  2. I have signed this. Sadly, so very sadly I don’t think this will ever happen. This is the legacy of the evil few who tried to ruin Michael . No one ever truly recovers from those sorts of allegations , no matter their innocence. We shouldn’t stop trying though.
