A touring tribute show to the music of Michael Jackson scheduled to rock two Hertfordshire venues has been postponed until later in the year.
Jackson Live in Concert was set to take the stage at Watford Colosseum on Thursday, and then Stevenage’s Gordon Craig Theatre on Friday, March 13.
But the show’s Michael Jackson was taken ill during the opening performance of the 2015 tour and needed surgery.
A statement from the show’s promoters said: “Unfortunately Ben, the star of the show, became unwell after his opening performance for the 2015 tour and had to have an operation.
“He is very keen to get his sequinned glove and black fedora hat on as soon as he can and we all wish him a speedy recovery.”
The Watford date has been rearranged for Sunday, May 24, and the Stevenage show will now take place on Sunday, June 21.
Organisers added: “Ben and the team are very sorry for any inconvenience caused and are looking forward to seeing everyone later in the year.”
Tickets for the Stevenage show cost £21.
Tickets for the Watford Colosseum date are £19.50 and £17.50.
